Ingredients to make Mango Charcuterie Board Recipe
Main Board:
- 3 fresh mangos
- Cured meats (prosciutto, salami, etc.)
- A variety of cheeses (brie, gouda, cheddar)
- Sesame crackers or your favorite artisan crisps
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup white granulated sugar
- 1 cup red wine vinegar
Pickled Mangos:
Spicy Mango Relish:
- 2–6 chile de árbol (adjust to spice level)
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard seeds
- ½ cup brown sugar
Instructions
1. Make the Pickled Mango
- Peel 1 mango and slice the cheeks away from the seed.
- Cut into wedges and place in a non-reactive bowl or jar.
- In a small pot, boil the water, vinegar, and white sugar, then pour the hot mixture over the mango.
- Let it cool completely before serving.
2. Make the Spicy Mango Relish
- Peel and dice 1 mango.
- In a pan, sauté chile de árbol and mustard seeds for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in diced mango and turmeric, then add brown sugar and enough water to just cover the mixture.
- Simmer until thick and slightly syrupy.
3. Create the Mango Rose
- Slice the remaining mango thinly using a mandolin or slicer.
- Use a round cookie cutter to trim each slice into perfect circles.
- Layer the slices around the edge of a small jar, slightly overlapping to form a rose shape.
- Carefully flip the mango rose onto your charcuterie board.
4. Build Your Board
- Arrange cheeses, cured meats, crackers, and mango elements artfully on a wooden board.
