Ingredients of Mango Shahi Tukda Recipe

- Desiccated coconut for garnish

Instructions
To make the mango and cream sauce
- In a saucepan, combine the mango puree, sugar, and butter.
- Cook over low heat for 7-8 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from the heat and let cool slightly.
- Stir in the cream and rose water.
- Stir in the khoya and let cool completely.
To make the sugar syrup
- In a saucepan, combine the water, sugar, and cardamom pods.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from the heat and let cool.
To fry the bread slices
- In a frying pan, heat the ghee over medium heat.
- Add the bread slices and fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
- Dip the fried bread slices in the sugar syrup and drain off any excess.
To assemble
- In a serving dish, arrange the fried bread slices.
- Top with the mango and cream sauce.
- Sprinkle with desiccated coconut, pistachios, and almonds.
- Serve chilled.
Tips
- For a richer flavor, use full-fat milk and cream.
- If you don’t have khoya, you can substitute it with 1/2 cup of condensed milk.
- You can also add other fruits to the dessert, such as strawberries, pineapple, or peaches.
