Spicy Gingered Mango margarita is a refreshing and flavorful twist on the classic. The mango and ginger add a touch of sweetness and spice, while the jalapeño provides a subtle kick. It’s perfect for a summer party or a night out with friends.
Ingredients of Spicy Gingered Mango Margarita
- 1/3 cup 100% mango juice
- 1/3 cup fresh or frozen mango chunks
- 2 teaspoons roughly chopped ginger
- 2 ounces silver tequila
- 1-2 jalapeño slices, plus more for garnish
- Juice of 1/2 a lime
- Sparkling water, for topping (optional)
- 1/4 cup kosher salt, for rimming the glasses (optional)
Instructions
- To rim the glasses, dip the rim of each glass in a shallow dish of lime juice and then in the kosher salt. Set the glasses aside.
- In a blender, combine the mango juice, mango chunks, ginger, tequila, jalapeño slices, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the margarita mixture into a pitcher filled with ice.
- To serve, divide the margarita mixture among the rimmed glasses and top with sparkling water, if desired. Garnish with additional jalapeño slices and serve immediately.
Tips
- For a spicier margarita, add more jalapeño slices.
- If you don’t have a blender, you can muddle the mango chunks, ginger, and jalapeño slices in the bottom of a cocktail shaker before adding the other ingredients.
- To make a large batch of margaritas, simply multiply the ingredients by the desired number of servings.
Enjoy!
