Ingredients of Spicy Gingered Mango Margarita

  • 1/3 cup 100% mango juice
  • 1/3 cup fresh or frozen mango chunks
  • 2 teaspoons roughly chopped ginger
  • 2 ounces silver tequila
  • 1-2 jalapeño slices, plus more for garnish
  • Juice of 1/2 a lime
  • Sparkling water, for topping (optional)
  • 1/4 cup kosher salt, for rimming the glasses (optional)

Instructions

  1. To rim the glasses, dip the rim of each glass in a shallow dish of lime juice and then in the kosher salt. Set the glasses aside.
  2. In a blender, combine the mango juice, mango chunks, ginger, tequila, jalapeño slices, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
  3. Strain the margarita mixture into a pitcher filled with ice.
  4. To serve, divide the margarita mixture among the rimmed glasses and top with sparkling water, if desired. Garnish with additional jalapeño slices and serve immediately.

Tips

  • For a spicier margarita, add more jalapeño slices.
  • If you don’t have a blender, you can muddle the mango chunks, ginger, and jalapeño slices in the bottom of a cocktail shaker before adding the other ingredients.
  • To make a large batch of margaritas, simply multiply the ingredients by the desired number of servings.
